Bald eagles are such stunning birds, even the younger ones
Backyard visitors this morning. Two Bald Eagles. One immature that we have seen frequently over the past month or two and one nearly(?) mature. The older bird's head still has remnants of a black stripe and there is still some black in the tail. Couldn't get closer without disturbing them. #Birds

Sandhill Cranes visiting the bird feeders this morning. Notice the Red-winged blackbird on the platform feeder. He was perched on top of the pole and complaining loudly for quite a while before he finally decided to eat. #Birds

Since 2007, the massive tree is sent to a lumber mill, turned into boards, and donated to Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for families in need.
