In 1997, a 19-year-old Volodymyr Zelenskyy became a KVN Major League champion as part of the team Zaporizhzha-Kryvyi Rih-Transit. It was the last time a Ukrainian team would ever win that title.

It's #PostcardDay! I'd rather not talk about the White House criminal, so instead, I'm focusing on a real leader: President Zelenskyy. This thread will highlight some of his many achievements over the years.

They want us divided. We'll drown them in unity.

For the record, this is what Zelenskyy was doing in April 2014, shortly after Crimea was illegally seized by Russia.

It's a song about not wanting to be separated from Crimea. It was clear then that Zelenskyy would never recognize Crimea as Russian.

‼️ BREAKING NEWS: People who have disliked Zelenskyy for years continue to criticize him and complain about him in the media.

It's a blatant, rumor-filled hit piece. Way to find the hard-hitting stories, Economist. 🙄

Recent polls show that trust in President Zelenskyy has been increasing after US traitors tried to claim that he was unpopular. Spoiler alert: Zelenskyy is very popular and has been for most of his political career.

Let’s talk about how Simon has been writing about Ukrainians for so long with smug overconfidence and yet still does not understand them. And of course his casual disregard for actual research. (I didn’t realize “early months” also meant a full year and a half.)

Set aside the cynicism of grasping on to Zelenskyy’s notoriety and acting like a discerning supporter while simultaneously circulating disparaging gossip.

For those wondering about my harsh criticism of Simon Shuster, let’s set aside how he thinks “maybe Vance had a point” that Ukrainian war memorials are meant for propaganda.

🔥 JUST NOW: “LET KIDS LEARN!!”

A Tennessee House committee disrupted, forced to adjourn over Lamberth & Watson’s cruel bill to keep undocumented kids out of schools (aimed at SCOTUS) — as the entire audience repeatedly recited the pledge of allegiance. 🇺🇸

How many of Trump’s actions and policies have to get praised by our worst enemies before republicans finally understand what he is?

I once received an electric shock during torture only for writing for Radio Liberty: I was told that it was "a CIA structure and an enemy of Russia", and for that reason alone I was already guilty.
Now, the "enemy of Russia" is being destroyed by America itself, and my torture seems doubly in vain.

Violating the law and the Constitution, Trump purports to have closed Radio Free/Radio Liberty, a medium which is the source of much of what we known about Russia and the post-communist world. Stanislav Aseyev was arrested in Russian-occupied Ukraine and tortured for his reporting for Radio Liberty.

Ukraine managed to secure the return of 175 of its defenders home from Russian captivity.

Another 22 defenders are returning home thanks to non-exchange measures. Among them are the seriously wounded and soldiers who were prosecuted by Russia for fabricated crimes.

Can Ukraine stop Russia from allying with North Korea, Iran, and China? If not, then Russia cannot forbid Ukraine from allying with whom it chooses. That is a basic element of sovereignty.

Even if Ru acted fairly and in good faith in the negotiations, which it won't because it never does, it remains true that Ru is the aggressor and it shouldn't be getting any single benefit out of its unprovoked invasion. Even in the very best scenario, these negotiations are an affront to justice.

When thinking about the give-and-take of negotiations never lose sight of the fact that russia and Ukraine aren't simply two parties to a conflict. Russia is an aggressor that's 100% in the wrong. Ukraine is in a defensive and existential fight for survival and is 100% in the right.

People need to be crystal clear about something: The requirement that the government ANSWER to a court on the legal basis for detaining someone is literally the core liberty right (habeas corpus). If the government says they don’t have to do that bc “national security,” YOU can be disappeared.

Just so it's clear: Ukraine offered an unconditional ceasefire even though it defends itself. Ru tries to demand conditions (suspension of weapons deliveries to Ukraine) so it can maintain its ability to continue attacking. The absolute gall of the aggressor.
