How does prospective mining on the Moon mirror prior forms of extractivism on Earth?

In July, I visited the Blåfjell and Tellnes Mines near #MagmaGeopark in Southwest Norway to collect video materials and talk with local experts about mining heritage.

A must-read for environmental historians, labour historians, & historians of embodiment, trade, Britain, the Thames, and more.

Conceptually ambitious & a really good story with an unexpected & dramatic denouement.

Recently came across the Insurgent Geologies series at @eflux.bsky.social! Very interesting works on architecture, geology and its colonial grammars of extraction (and critical interventions).

(Shores show up, too.)
