Link Click Season 1 Episode 5 is just as emotional as the previous episodes (trying so hard not cry my eyes out). Although just starting this anime series, I do feel that Cheng having to travel to the past through these images carries a lot of emotional responsibility for the mission at hand.

Second cup of caffeine for the day and we have not reached 10:00 AM. Had an early start to the day, going through my grandmother's recipe cards perhaps for two things; missing what the festivities use to mean for us as a family and my academic research on cookbooks (which I need to return to soon).

"We don't educate for freedom. Education, the most important activity of the social organism, has become rigid, moralistic, authoritarian."

Current read. Discussed education at a party last night irt AI & whether this disruption could be an opportunity for education reform.

My grandmother said something along the lines of your food will burn if your heart is not in the right place. Not my first attempt at pancakes, but definitely a first attempt at blueberry sauce, both went side ways. Admittedly, my heart was not in the right place.

It was unfortunate that I was not able to attend the launch of this gender and sexuality glossary, but very happy to add and make use of this resource in our department. A digital copy for this glossary can be found here:

22 February 2025, dear friend, may every year from this point be a year we reflect in joy and light at the gravity of the lessons presented to us on this life journey. May it be memorialized in poetry, in whichever form it may manifest. So we may sit with a smile whenever we are called to answer.

Sadly only 24 episodes of Jormungand, an intriguing critique on the global arms trade, the inherent violence in human nature, and the systems that profit from war. Like Attack on Titan, I have to think deeply on Koko's perstpective/intent on building (destructively) towards peace.

Runaway love, runaway...😔

Koko's perspective on the world, the violence, the war, the lives taken and her being born in all of this intrigues me. Don't think it is a justification though. Kinda taking me back on Eren's stance from Attack on Titan to bring about peace.

I was anticipating a moment when Jonah points a weapon in Koko's direction. The end of episode 22 did come at no surprise though, as Jonah had expressed his views around the work Koko does. 700 000 lives once Jormungand is activated??? A step towards peace??? Nah fam.

What was suppose to be a Parkrun activity with Ncedo turned into a visit at the Century City Lantern Festival Market. We did not know the event was happening, stumbled across it along the path...a serendipitous moment, Happy Chinese New Year, the Year of the Wood Snake.

Israel released 90 hostages in Gaza then took 90 new hostages in the West Bank. This is what Israel does and this is the vile colonial violence it’s founded on, beyond any kind of reform
