Unfortunately after the sudden loss of my very young brother last month, grief left me unable to advocate for myself and i fell $460 short on rent.

I didn’t study or focus on the bad guys but on the things PEOPLE , and objectives need

….

And then I ponce about and have a life because well that’s the point of this all.

And I stopped doing it at the scale two years ago.

It’s draining, disrespectful , and people don’t think you’re human

- Ra’il is “more dangerous” for not being a woman “anymore.” they aren’t a man, though. ppl’s misunderstanding of nonbinary identity/ existence kinda subjects them to this perception that they’re a kid playing dress up and not a grown ass fucking person.

okay, let me wrap this up. in summation:
- institutionalized and interpersonal misogynoir are the reasons nobody listened until it was too late!
- Shafiqah died in desperate need bc she wasn’t the “right” kind of Black woman for the mainstream “listen to Black women” folks.
- they were “dangerous.”

that isolation made it EASIER for 4chan to plot to kill/ harm Ra’il. because the expectation was that they were alone and disconnected from people IRL. we built safety networks and protocols for Sydette, Ra’il, and others. I know Shireen had to do a LOT of safety planning on her own too.

because they were saying shit that respectable negro types (and the white ppl who like them) wouldn’t touch with someone else’s hand. such unique talking points in a non-academic space meant they were a maverick without intending to be. I saw how it hurt them to be isolated in academia and online.

the unique thing about Ra’il is that they carved out a space as a public and independent scholar; but they were never a “safe” talking head for the likes of huff post live or whatever. that 2014 baby pundit wave passed them by. why?

because the “listen to Black women” and “protect Black women” folks can’t neatly sing that song while Ra’il exists. confronting discomfort with/ misunderstanding of gender means Ra’il stands out in a way. there’s so much data about Black trans folks and under/ unemployment!

I’m not gonna go too deep into the way humanity, and therefore gender, are taken from Black people in an antiblack world. however, I want to say that Ra’il developing their relationship to their gender has isolated them further in a way. not interpersonally, like IRL relationships. I mean online.
