Britain is a country of investors – they just don’t know it.
In our latest report, @gideonsalutin.bsky.social and John Asthana Gibson outline how we can strengthen the UK’s retail investment landscape – and deliver a much-needed boost to the wider economy.

If that was awarded against Arsenal my head would be on Mars. Disgraceful decision.

Steve Webb here, an actual expert, explaining why various ‘experts’ predicting the Budget and urging you to make a disastrous financial decision are wrong.

They’ll all of course act like nothing happened the day afterwards.
If the Chancellor were to cap or scrap tax-free lump sums from your pension, could she literally do it 'over night' on Budget Day? This is a reader question to which I reply in my column this week. I'm pretty sceptical that this will happen, but people are obviously concerned. #pensions
Could pension tax-free cash be slashed right away on Budget day?
If changes are proposed will they take effect immediately, or at the start of the next tax year, or do the possible changes need to be agreed through parliament?

@aallensport.arseblog.com really like the where to eat and drink map you've created.

Anyway, realise I'm at risk of not getting a spot on week nights now but Sambal Shiok on Holloway Road which is absolutely sensational.

In Dublin for the next few days on a sad middle aged business man trip where I will mostly be seen in the evenings sadly cradlin pints of guiness and asking for the receipt.

On that note - anywhere I can get a decent pint tonight and not be surrounded by Utd fans as I watch the Europa League?

@stephenkb.bsky.social Read your thoughts on cash ISAs this mornig which I think I mostly agree with. But think one of the bigger issues here is that swathes of people use them to shelter themselves from tax which they'd never have to pay if they just put them in a bank account. AGBR will help.

@football365.bsky.social Re: Derby County 2009, it really was much grimmer than you remember. There's a reason that record has lasted so long - Southampton have already won double the amount of games and scored as many goals.

Medical Update: William Saliba
Arteta said today that William Saliba responded to Kai Havertz’s injury by offering to play up front. Apparently Saliba used to bag loads of goals as a striker in his youth days. Arteta: “Willy is so funny.”

Maybe it's just my timeline, maybe it's just what's going on at the moment but BlueSky would be a much more enjoyable experience if a lot of the content on it wasn't simply screen grabs from what was going on on other social media apps.
