It's the best. Love that boat trip. If you've time, drive to Horsey Wind Pump and follow the path over the fields, meet up with a track which takes you down to the dunes at Horsey Gap. Go up and over and the beach is usually full of seals. Walk back via the Nelson Head pub for a crab sandwich

Just superb. It really is. "The least expensive fine wine in the world". This was perfect on Christmas Day with Turkey. Pure, clean and fresh, absolutely wonderful. Delighted to be able to sell the wines from this wonderful producer. #wine

Had this earmarked for Christmas this year. Squirreled away a few years ago at my old wine shop. CVNE was my first wine trip and I've a massive soft spot for them, but rightly so. Everything you'd expect from a GR with 13 years of age on it. Delightful. #wine

It continued this morning with one of my favourites from Champagne Germar Breton. A relatively young grower-producer established in 2005 producing fantastic value wines in the, until recently, least fashionable growing regions in Champagne, Aubes. Delicate, full of finesse. Superb. #wine

And so it begins. Chardonnay from Domaine du Pélican, Marquis d'Angerville's project in the Jura. Bright and flinty, with loads of stone fruit and juicy acidity. Stunner, and perfect with Christmas Eve Fish & Chips #wine
