What's Rule 1?

Maybe not ban but heavily regulate. There are a couple of genuine use cases (like writing bios for cat rescues) but it shouldn't be allowed to have these long "conversations".

One guy who was 6'5 and 350lbs told me I scared him after I lost my temper. At no point, did I raise my voice or approach him an aggressive manner. All I did was tell him that I was sick and tired of him trying to tell me how to do my job when he barely knew how to do his own.

Can't tell you how many times I have been told I needed to watch my tone and my attitude after being assertive. And not always by men, women can be just as bad.

In my experience, prices practically never go down.

Fear not, Threads was even more gleeful.

I know this is a sweet wholesome moment but all I can see is the cat in the background disapproving.

May you receive the blessings you wish upon others.

Yet another strong argument that the Democratic party is complicit with GOP tyranny.
August 26, 2025 at 3:16 AM
I'm not going to argue with you. It's obvious that something is trying to influence opinion against any source of effective resistance against Trump. Just because I don't have a peer reviewed powerpoint presentation proving it doesn't mean it's not true. Nor does the fact that you disagree.

Give the cat what she wants. And maybe the dog won't breathe in your face. Maybe.

2016's calling, they want their optimism back

Perfectionism is the enemy of getting things done. You work with what you have. The never-ending purity tests are why we are in this situation.

Only because of the oscar mayer commercial.

2028 is a long way off. There is no guarantee that there will even be an election. But if there is what he has done with the electoral votes in california may be the only thing that allows the election to be somewhat fair

Second rebuttal: do you really think that the dissension against Newsom wholely or even mostly organic? Because I can promise you it is not.
August 26, 2025 at 12:59 AM
I have two rebuttals to this:
George Washington used his wife's money and his family's connections to gain the attention of the Continental Congress. He bought the job.

Buying influence is an old game. The only thing that's changed is how we do it.

So? Does that take away from the effectiveness of what he's doing?
August 26, 2025 at 12:31 AM
2028 is a long way away, and there is no guarantee that there will even be elections. Newsom one of the very few fighting back in an effective manner.

Supporting him in this is not an endorsement of the man. It's an endorsement of the fight.

Personally I find all the criticism of Newsom to be as counterproductive and even self-destructive as the leftist wing's refusal to vote for Kamala because she hadn't spoken out on the subject of Gaza.
