Everything we feared would happen is happening, but faster and worse than we imagined. Anyone go back and check on this guy?

Congrats, Liverpool. You perfected a style of play that had the best of Arsenal's discipline and stoicism without the dull its and some of Nottingham's feral wildness but mostly you just played highly skilled, imaginative, consistent football through a grueling schedule.

There's the photo I was looking for. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! Back on our perch! Thanks for everything Mo Salah! YNWA.

Liverpool are champions of England! This is so deserved, it's been a long time coming. YNWA.

And a 50% reduction wouldn't delay that topping out by any significant amount on a geological scale. Only cold turkey does that. I think we were doomed for a climate change catastrophe once we developed industrial methods of mining and using fossil fuels.

I think it's because most of us aren't truly willing to make the sacrifices either. Fossil fuels have been the backbone of our changed lifestyles and to demand our societies go cold turkey and stop using them forever is hard. Even a 50% cut in our annual use would simply delay the topping out.

I wasn't selected in the lottery to table my local book fair, so I have a bunch of copies of my poetry collection to sell online! DM me if you're interested in one. $15 signed and shipped, but will sell for less if you send me a photo of your pet.

Meet 11-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza, a young girl from Texas whose life was tragically cut short.

She died by suicide after classmates threatened to call ICE on her family.

Stop dehumanizing immigrants.

That is not America.

1. A few years ago, people like me were widely attacked in the media for “declinism”. How could we fail to see that we were heading into a capitalist utopia, in which everything would keep getting better?
This is a thread about what we could see that our critics could not. 🧵

So I'm reading a book called The Power Broker about how Robert Moses came to power to re-shape New York City and fuck over everyone else.

The things going on in the book are the things happening now. The way this dimwit just keeps breaking laws because the lawyers move slower than a bulldozer. 🧵

The reason I'm not getting worked up over Trump's appalling policies is that he made it extremely fucking clear that this is is precisely what he would be doing in office.

For a man who lies as often as he breathes, he didn't bullshit us about his policy goals. Maybe people should have listened.
