I think Slot was right not to pull him, despite the temptation. I daresay quite a bit was said in private and he won't be doing it again.

I'm thinking more of Suarez and Coutinho. At the time Coutinho looked like an elite footballer. What you do with the money is really important at these junctures.
Newcastle's time will come. They've got that huge backing and the club's profile and support is only going to increase over time.

Well put. We were headed for the precipice where we would have ceased to be a big club with administration a real possibility. You don't have to agree with every action FSG take to acknowledge the incontrovertible fact that they saved the club and turned us back into winners.
