I valued the stimulating conversations and the way you saw my intelligence during past difficult times in my life. Yet, your needs always centered the interaction, and it cost me my peace. I recognize the pattern of the intense, 'fun' approach followed by the self-centered monologue and subsequent disengagement until you needed validation again. My silence is not a mood or a temporary phase; it is a permanent choice to protect my well-being. I've done so much emotional labor sorting this cycle: 1. A burst of fun, connection, admiration → I feel alive and valued. 2. Gradually, the focus shifts - you become self-centered, I fade from the interaction. 3. I try to reach back toward mutuality → you disengage or vanish. 4. Later, you return with charm and energy again. My nervous system rides that wave - connection → confusion depletion → relief → hope - and each time, the first phase convinced me maybe this time will be different. However, I can no longer participate in a dynamic where I start bright and end drained. That impact and these feelings are information. My body isn't judging or punishing, it's reporting. I choose to treat those signals as valid. When you send emails after months of silence, acknowledging the 'awkwardness' but only sharing your big plans and not asking about my personal difficulties I've mentioned as my reason for not responding, I see it for what it is: a tactic to pull me back into your orbit without offering any genuine support or mutuality. That is an act of boundary violation, not friendship. Your feelings and your future are now your own responsibility. My responsibility is to myself and my safe connections. It can be true that you meant well, And that your choices and boundary pressing hurt me and are not safe for me. This cycle is officially bro
