Once upon a time I use to cook professionally. Now I cook for my family & friends. I post about food and cooking because eating and sharing meals brings people together.
That looks outstanding🤤

I took all of my mother’s kitchen towels and wooden spoons and there is a simple joy of reaching for them while I cook.

I do. I had a small pot in the same pattern but it sadly didn’t make a house move. My family is in Holland so I have love of Dutch things.

I love that cookware. My stepmother has one of their large soup pots that I adore.

I made the Shawarma seasoning myself. The vegetables were potatoes, carrots and Brussels sprouts. I think that the seasoning stained the potatoes yellow.

Seasoned with thyme, coarse ground black pepper and caraway seeds. Add the caraway with the onions.

I started with the bacon. Then added the onions. Let that get some color and then added the cabbage. Slowly cooked it all for about an hour. Added a little water and let it melt

Thank you, @curryandchips.bsky.social I love Laksa and I make do with what I can find locally to make a version that satisfies and makes me look forward to another trip to Asia.
