All set to start on an intimidating project that's slated for holiday gifting. Doubt I'll finish it in time, but I'm going to try.

I'm attempting to learn crochet! This is my second ever chain, and my first ever single crochet stitch, in rainbow cotton yarn. I'm happy with how they came out, because, oh my, am I early in the learning curve.

My second attempt at making a crochet chain, using rainbow cotton yarn. My first attempt at single crochet stitch. I started at the bottom. I lost a couple stitches because the sun was setting and I found myself doing crochet in the dark, so I added a couple back in. My tension definitely got more consistent as I went along.

I have been doing these #wellness checks for some time in my discord server support group for disabled and chronically ill pagans & witches. With how difficult things are right now for so many, I felt it would be of benefit to others.

Weekly Wellness Checks In times of duress, it is extra important to take the time to check in with yourself, and honestly assess how you are doing. This helps with balancing self-care needs, and also with giving yourself credit for what you accomplish even when it feels like you have accomplished nothing. To that end, on different days of the week I post prompts to help others find voice for their needs, joys, and victories, and so community can provide support. Remember! I realize I'm supposed to be only doing my Christmas gift cross stitch project, but I can't see black 18 aida when I'm lying in bed, and I need practice adhering to a board, so I'm doing Nice Ass in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs by Quaternion Creations, it's going pretty fast
