All set to start on an intimidating project that's slated for holiday gifting. Doubt I'll finish it in time, but I'm going to try.

I'll be taking wip images, but not sharing them until after gifting (or the recipients accidentally see it, which is very possible).

I'm attempting to learn crochet! This is my second ever chain, and my first ever single crochet stitch, in rainbow cotton yarn. I'm happy with how they came out, because, oh my, am I early in the learning curve.

My second attempt at making a crochet chain, using rainbow cotton yarn. My first attempt at single crochet stitch. I started at the bottom. I lost a couple stitches because the sun was setting and I found myself doing crochet in the dark, so I added a couple back in. My tension definitely got more consistent as I went along.

Finishing my sunflower bookmark and having it turn out nice brought me joy (I had doubts about it along the way).

Also, cat and kitten cuddles are good for endorphins.

Fifth flower color is in place. The petals are looking a little flat, so I'm hoping i can fix that by adding shading i 🫣 forgot to put in the pattern. Pattern testing matters.
