They are currently not operational, so my guess is they are waiting on it? Same with the Westlake/MacArthur Park gates, which are also eliminating the steel doors.

The other station is Westlake/MacArthur Park. bsky.app/profile/side...
New gates at Westlake/MacArthur Park which, to my surprise, are eliminating the steel emergency exit door.

I got these at Historic Broadway

Last year’s was better. I posted it and several of my trans friends wanted me to go get one for them.

No. It doesn’t light up. It’s just a sticker.

I'll bet a good chunk of that comes from the at-grade stations with no turnstiles or gates but simply podiums. They're easy to miss or ignore. I rarely see anyone tap at Pico despite it being the 7th most trafficked in the system.

One of my dreams is a car free, transit oriented In-N-Out Burger literally anywhere on the system

I know it won’t happen, but I want to. We will probably end up getting a Starbucks or something.

I’ve also had a bone to pick with the sheer lack of In-N-Out Burgers near transit. The nearest one is the small restaurant at the Carson J Line station of all places, which feels like it barely counts. Next one up is the one in Culver City, which is a bit of a walk from the station.

The plot of land is also constantly threatened with development that never gets beyond the render phase. la.urbanize.city/post/renderi...
Renderings revealed: Big high-rise complex planned above Westlake/MacArthur Park Station
Recently, Metro's Westlake/MacArthur Park Station has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

I really wish they would reopen the north entrance because the station is the fifth busiest in the entire system and it sucks to push all those people through just one portal.

Westlake/MacArthur Park seems to be a special case in nearly every Metro planning scenario. They closed the north entrance due to crime. All the vendors were kicked off the sidewalk. They had crowd control gates for a while and cops at the turnstiles.

Related, they seem to have chosen a livery for SkyLink. www.bestorarchitecture.com/portfolio-2-...
