here was me rebuilding the keyboard on the class 3 adding machine.
a photo of just the keyboard from the burroughs class 3 adding machine. only the bottom row of 1s is complete with some of the 2s added in. there are 9 columns total. between each row is a metal plate to hold the keys in place. this plate is green to match the original color of the felt that was used. there is a complex mechanism behind all the keys in the columns that have a spring for each key and some levers to interact with the keys. attempting to remove the keycaps from these key stems would shatter them

screenshot of an ebay listing of a burroughs class 5 adding machine. it has a grid of keys in 10 columns and 9 rows with a readout register below all the keys. the rows are labeled 1-9 with their 9s complement in smaller text. normally the colors of the keys in each set of columns are the same, either black or white. the normal arrangement from right to left is 2 columns for fractions of 100 then the columns are grouped by 3s to match normal commas in numbers. this adding machine has a checkerboard pattern except for the left most column which is all white because of a lack of black keys. the worst part is the "keycaps" are not normally removable and you would need to spend hours on disassembly and reassembly. of course this pattern means you cannot quickly use the adding machine because the column colors help with accuracy

how about a transmeta crusoe?

i am not sure but i suspect the only public implementation was for x86 code. if there were others released then you could run a bunch of different archs. (just don't expect SSE to work)

this is why you spell things correctly! the only difference is that the one on the right is missing the lever arm. you could stick anything metal in there and it should work.

the card embosser on the left sold for almost $300 and the one on the right sold for $13.99

phones should last longer than 29 months wtf??

the only noticeable changes from my iphone 13 pro max to the iphone 17 pro is a better camera and usbc.

i really prefer the non-max size which i can actually hold in my hand

i don't seem to have pictures of them together but the cat is a gray tabby and iphotos thinks she is a raccoon. this is the raccoon though and it's super cute when it washes its little human hands

could not get any work done this afternoon so i went for a walk and climbed up the mountain along the power lines

aurora in arizona!

i have a bunch of compact fujitsu lifebooks: b142, b2031, p2110

i have other lifebooks in the t, c, and n series

i really want a super small one but i have not found a good deal on any yet

my favorite of the ones i have is the b142 from 1999 which has a 8.4" touchscreen and no moving parts
a fujitsu b142 laptop with an 8.4 inch touchscreen. it has a windows 98 sticker and washed out celeron sticker. this has a first gen 300mhz celeron processor and with an ssd upgrade now has no moving parts. the case is mg alloy so it's stood the test of time well. after a battery rebuild it lasts for many hours

was feeling sore, tired, and had a headache so i went for a walk then hike along some abandoned "roads" then along animal paths and over rocks.

im my little town of 3k people there are a lot of shitty places to eat because of tourist food. there is also an indian dhaba by the freeway that mostly serves truckers.

after going shopping today i got some indian food and am eating it in the shower
