Research with @transenv.bsky.social finds that average bonnet height in newly-sold cars is increasing by 0.5cm a year, reaching 83.8cm in 2024, up from 76.9cm in 2010.
This increases severity of crashes & reduce drivers’ visibility. Clear need for regulation.

Sorry but I just don't feel comfortable sharing public toilets with transphobes. At any moment they could just demand to have a look at my gennies. The law should protect women's spaces from these creeps.

I remember all the discussions and talks a decade ago in HE around the library and learning technology community about 'doing more with less'.

I get that a lot of people don’t like to read, which encourages reliance on ChatGPT and TikTok - but “aversion to reading” has been an issue for basically forever, and I believe that instead of just giving up, we should still be strongly encouraging people to read, because it’s good for society

In the other place there’s people claiming novels pre 1970 should be modernised and “translated” for high school and college age kids 🤯. Meanwhile, I’m reading Five children & it to my seven year old.
