We’re part of a world wide organisation that stands up for girls and women around the world. We want to create strong, peaceful communities worldwide, in respectful harmony with the natural world.
Soroptimist International Aberdeen are displaying this unique postbox topper in Aberdeen during the 16 Days against Gender Based Violence campaign this year. The topper depicts a violent scene against a woman. It was created by one of our club members, and captures the violence in the encounter.

Doing this online training is so worthwhile. It could really help someone out in a situation where your instinct is letting you know things aren’t quite right and someone could be in danger.

Safer journeys should be possible for all. Soroptimist club members around the UK will be doing a survey on railway stations to review how things really are - from a women’s perspective.

It’s important that women feel safe when travelling by rail. How safe are our stations? Soroptimist Clubs will be carrying out surveys on our local rail stations to get some facts and review the current position in the months ahead.

Our report published last week similarly showed that healthcare services are essential to supporting stalking victims: shorturl.at/zyCGR.

These reinforce the urgent need for sustainable funding to ensure that a whole health approach to gender-based violence is not only maintained and expanded.

A good overview of the online Safety Act and how to keep our young people safer. It may not be easy for us but we need to step up and be more proactive so we can keep them safe.
