Report abuse! 📢 Don't suffer in silence. Use reporting tools when you encounter harassment. Document evidence, report promptly, and remember—seeking help is strength, not weakness. You are not alone in this fight. #EndOnlineViolence #16DaysOfActivism #SoroptimistBristol

What a lovely Friday quiz evening Soroptimist International Aberdeen club members and friends had along with teams from Grampian Women’s Aid(GWA). £750 was raised to support the wonderful work of GWA who do so much locally to support women and their families who have experienced domestic abuse.

A quick tidy up in the Rubislaw Ward garden this morning. Some nasturtium added to the train planter, but will wait till the spring daffodils and tulips die back before adding summer bedding plants to the other planters🌸. Choisya was quite a show😀

Our report published last week similarly showed that healthcare services are essential to supporting stalking victims: shorturl.at/zyCGR.

These reinforce the urgent need for sustainable funding to ensure that a whole health approach to gender-based violence is not only maintained and expanded.

We remain committed to ending violence against women and girls, to ensure that what happened to Suzy doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Girls and women have so much to contribute to STEM but we may need to nurture their engagement in these subjects as often as possible. I think we can do that! Go for it girls!

“Adolescence” on Netflix is a wake-up call. We encourage everyone to watch it.
Misogynistic attitudes of belittling women or glorifying male dominance can normalise these views. Boys may accept these as standard, diminishing women’s rights & equality.
