This is a ridiculous amount of packaging for 5 razor blade refills.

Haha guess who's in the 163.

If you see this, quote with a robot that isn't from "Star Wars", "Star Trek", "Doctor Who", or "Transformers".

Aww, had to sacrifice these at the last minute to get my luggage back down below 5kg/leave space to easily pack my coat instead of either wearing it or stuffing it in with extreme prejudice. Packing super light has pros and cons!

The juvenile desire to reorder the terms in the exponent.

Oh this is fantastic. Until C++26 drops (next year?), it's perfectly valid for a C++ compiler to see this code and compile it into a program that prints "Hello world!" (as infinite loops are currently undefined behaviour in C++)

What do you mean you didn't test the lap time display layout in Clock for an 11" iPad in landscape mode for the case where someone forgets they set a timer running some time the previous year?

A fraction of a second earlier it had guessed this (also pretty reasonable but not what I wanted), so I just kept typing. Not sure I even consciously noticed before I went through the exercise more slowly for the sake of taking screenshots so I could compose these replies

Nah, this sort of thing is great. First branch of the `if` sets a variable on iteration 0 of a loop, second branch unwraps the set value and uses it; editor guessed as much when I got 3/4 of the way through name of the branch-local I was setting.

Serious question from @asherwolf.bsky.social, but in my current headspace this confluence in my timeline is weirding me tf out.

So I did my #hottest100 vote at the very last minute (didn't realise when it was closing!), so zero write ins from me. Getting down from 13 to 10 was still really hard.

Alt text of this contains my top 57, in the approximate order I threw together after a single skim of candidates.

This is what happens when @jeanette555.bsky.social substitutes beetroot for some of the zucchini in the zucchini and fetta slice 😀

(It’s delicious, btw)

In The Sun Makers (4th serial of season 15 of Doctor Who (1963)), Leela towers over Cordo by a good few inches, yet Louise Jameson and Roy Macready were both listed as 1.68m tall. What gives?

(it's not from heels; Leela was quite disdainful of impractical shoes. Maybe Cordo just hunched a lot?)

By the time I reached 15th I was having to get up at 3am every morning just to hold my position; I eventually bailed when an international flight left me with no internet access for 20 hours or so. Time to move on.

It me, Eleyna Lescardia! 😃

So I inhaled @alanbaxter.bsky.social's "The Roo" yesterday afternoon/evening. I gather an early draft of @kealanpatrickburke.bsky.social's fabulous cover art came before the book in this instance, and Baxter certainly rose to the challenge of writing something worthy of it.
