Lane illustrated our first book of 2026! His artwork is delightful, and he’s great to work with. I highly recommend hiring him!
Things aren't looking super great right now, so if you have any art you need done, I'm very available. I've worked with Ahoy, IDW, Legendary, Oni, Image, and plenty of amazing indie writers. My portfolio is down below.

My birthday is tomorrow, and all I ask is that you share this around. Or hey, maybe let people know if you like my work.

Trying to find drawing reference online that isn’t an AI hallucination is getting harder and harder. I just want pictures of *real* cottages that exist or used to exist somewhere in the world. Is that so much to ask?

Hey. Yeah, you. You know that graphic novel idea you’ve been working on? We want to publish it, and we have room for one more book in 2026. We’re friendly, we promise.

*cracks knuckles*

okay so you know how the media has a problem with taking snippets of scientific studies out of context and writing articles which mislead the public?

now imagine a computer program is doing that when you ask it questions about scientific literature but also it makes stuff up.

I’m looking forward to fall, a season where I can read a book outside without being afraid of ruining it with sweat.

Hi authors! Please remember to file a claim!
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

What do you call a shrimp dish that isn’t served with enough shrimp?

Shrimp skimpy.

(I’m so sorry.)

Casey, Shrimp Cult’s head of security, is on guard while I prepare for Fan Expo Vancouver. She’s definitely getting a raise; she has earned it.

Five days before our biggest convention of the year isn’t the best time to break a toe. But maybe it’s the second-best time? Is that how the saying goes? Oh well. See you at Fan Expo Vancouver!

Just finished rough lines on some really absurd and wonderful new 5e modules that will launch soon. I love drawing with plain-old pencil. #DnD #ttrpg

I'm really proud to be a Canadian publisher, and to support Canadian artists as much as I can. SCP will publish work from anywhere, but I spend my time soliciting work from people who live in Canada.

Not gonna lie: one of the best parts of being a publisher is laying out books. Desktop publishing software (e.g. Affinity Publisher) does every formatting thing that you fight your word processor to do, only ten times better, and it does way more than that too. I love it so much.

We’re going to be releasing some fun new #ttrpg modules and monsters at #FanExpoVancouver! I’m really excited for it. They’re weird and silly and I’ve been having fun making them. I hope you’ll come say hi! #dnd

Boy, what a time to decide to boost your company’s social media presence… you know what isn’t getting worse right now though? D&D, surprisingly. D&D rules just as much as it did on… say… January 19th.
