It’s been a month since I started this. And I was still struggling with physical reading…I dunno what changed this weekend but I read a big chunk this and had to force myself to put it down and go to sleep at 2.30am last night!

It’s been a month since I started this. And I was still struggling with physical reading…I dunno what changed this weekend but I read a big chunk this and had to force myself to put it down and go to sleep at 2.30am last night!

I am so excited for this. There are some excellent authors out there writing incredible stories who deserve some acknowledgement 👏🏽
My only hope is that the long and short lists are void of celebrity authors who have huge marketing spends and writing that is just ok.

I actually sparred in my kickboxing class tonight. Properly punching and kicking someone and then them properly punching and kicking me. I was terrified at first but it was exhilarating. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy kickboxing 🥊🥊🥊

Haven’t been to the theatre in an age and man was this an incredible play to break the drought. Intelligent, hilarious, steamy, compelling. And two leads who were breathtaking.

I so love the 2007 BBC #Persuasion. Anne’s family rile me up and Rupert Penry-Jones does a resentful, brooding, broken hearted Wentworth so well. And Sally Hawkins played our passive, easily persuaded heroine to a tee.
But it’s my fave Austen and I would so love a new, faithful adaptation too.

It was a heavy couple of weeks rushing around the dusty streets of Kathmandu to spend as much time as possible with my sick Dad. Naively thought I’d finish The Emperor of Gladness but my brain has been too full. What I’ve read so far has been compelling but I feel heartbreak is imminent 💔

Can someone tell me if I'm meant to root for Nan in #TheBuccaneers because I've just finished S2 and she strikes me as selfish.
And I will never forgive the writers for Dicky - y'know you can have a love without constant drama, you don't have to ruin the only non toxic relationship in the show 😭

That man baby might be the richest man in the world but he is the biggest and most despicable hypocrite. He's an immigrant but I guess he deosn't count cos he's white right? The press only seem report in wa way that further whips up the racists.
It is insane to me that the richest man in the world is using his global megaphone to call for millions of British people to be rounded up and deported (including my family) and somehow this isn’t even news.
