Wild to me that staff at places only medically fragile people (chronically ill, elderly, and disabled people) go are NOT MASKING. Thanks, we love it when you kill us through viral infection as well as through poverty.

I'm not religious and I'm certainly not Muslim (my ancestors are Catholic and Jewish) but every time I see red crescent mentioned and translated into English as red cross I feel frustrated, like christianity is being imposed onto a multi-faith organisation to erase Islam from any praiseworthy act.

Today I saw a man riding a motorcycle on the freeway, and in a custom pillion compartment were riding two Jack Russell terriers (named Dash and Daisy according to his bumper stickers) who each had their own matching helmet. Very good indeed.

Adding to this, I feel that the move away from anonymity online has robbed us (people with treated/managed/supported but chronic/lifelong mental illness) of the ability to really vent anywhere for free. Being visible and talking about mental health is great, but it's NOT the same thing.
Something frustrating about the way mental illness is treated these days is I feel like I can’t talk about my suicidal ideation or how I fantasize about being reincarnated as someone else without worrying I’m going to scare people.

Dreaming of being well enough to study, finish the unit I'm enrolled in, do this master's degree, and actually become a child and family therapist focused on the rights and autonomy of children. Fantasies of being capable of working, even part time, to promote neurodivergence-affirming child safety.

When I was 7 I told a kid at school that a particular drinking fountain 'tastes like' strawberry, chocolate, and banana, and he happened to be both highly suggestible and also a bit of a ring leader, so he tried the water and agreed in front of several other kids, who then also agreed.
