A lot of his talking points are probably drafted by Morgan McSweeney

Whoever she was, she’s not a young one anymore

It’s the southside in disguise, Cabra is ‘goat’ in Italian - you’re living in Goatstown with those prices

Nissan is in a death spiral and tried to merge with Honda recently, didn’t work out but they’re both in danger of irrelevance quite soon. I do think Tesla will end up rolled into another EV manufacturer on the way up, maybe this is how BYD finally make inroads into the US?

It’s quite likely the NACS standard will be the universal standard in the next 2-3 years in North America anyway but the latest Tesla V4 Superchargers have a facility to automatically attach a CCS1 adaptor for non-NACS EVs. But here in Europe, Tesla just use the universal CCS2 one like everyone else

My wife is from Killarney and we live in Ashbourne - it blows my mind that Ashbourne has a larger population but I guess Killarney has the same again in tourists whereas Ashbourne has….5 or 6

The twist is that if you’re a woman, you’ll have to roll up your sleeves and go behind the bar to make it yourself and sure while you’re at it there’s a load of glasses to be collected and maybe give the floor a mop while you’re shtood round doing nothing

That whole story is horrifying and they’re in no fucking rush to undo it, which is almost worse

They’ll have to do something to stop him by Friday, this is like Liz Truss’s brief 49-day stint as UK PM but on steroids

And to this day, my Dad (71) has never worn jeans. I suspect had he made it to England like his brothers, he might have succumbed to denim but they didn’t have jeans in Mayo in the 50s and 60s and they certainly wouldn’t have put such ludicrous attire on a grown man

When I was little we’d go to Spain or Portugal for two weeks - basic package deals to massive towers in Torremolinos or Praia da Rocha - and it would be my only exposure to adults my parents’ age from other countries. To this day, I still associate jeans on a man my Dad’s age as a very British thing

I think it’s actually ‘morla’. It can’t be ‘mála’ because that’s ‘bag’
March 22, 2025 at 10:58 PM
Actually that must be it, never thought of that before but in all caps, “EU and us” would look the same as “EU AND US”

Sky News have this bizarre rule where UK has no full stops but U.S. does and I’d love to know why

Oh definitely, I think you just have to assume the worst with him at all times

I think if we regard ourselves as a sovereign nation, we need the capability to escort any unauthorised aircraft that decides to enter our airspace just because they can. Currently the RAF does such escorting; to wash our hands of it entirely is naive in peacetime & we’re heading into Not Peacetime
