People did not support these kinds of businesses in Chester sadly

The market has been voted Best Market several times in national competitions. Having restaurant style food stalls and a couple of cafes and drinks places has brought in a wide variety of people .

Oddly we look to Chester as a good place to visit. Although the amount of shopping outlets has suffered recently, yet the Cavern of the Curious Gnome is fab.

The stalls are supported by customers who shop there. Don't think stalls are subsidised or supported by the council

Thanks for sharing. Think it's a great place could definitely teach Chester some lessons

Next one will be back to usual bleakness

Very sad in some respects. I remember buying a flat cap,an old record, and my wife often buying materials and haberdashery stuff, from people who were experts in their particular fields.
But we move on and the new market is great.
