It was still dry when I took this, although clouding over. My rain coat is in my bag (larger bag than usual!). I'm in Lower Castle Park shortly after the organised walk finished.

On my way into Colchester again. It's sunny outside, so I have a rain jacket with me ... just in case.

Congratulations to @ashade.bsky.social for her re-election overnight.

Here I am (on the left!), stood with the boss of @lv18radio.uk , just after we'd met up at the media event in Ipswich yesterday afternoon at the Suffolk Archives building.

Off to a media event in Ipswich today.

I've arrived at that point in life where a name badge is useful at events. Of course it could be said that I now have an easy aid when I can't remember my name?

Reached the next train. #transontrains

As the political party conferences roll by, I was making my opinion known as went about my day

This dress is special to me as it's the oldest dress I still have and the first one I ever wore in public for just me. I was pleased to be able to zip myself into it this morning.

I was on my way to Sparkle in 2018 that first time.

Off to Colchester Arts Centre for this afternoon's Martin Newell gig with @attilastockbroker.bsky.social

I'll have time for a pint on my way from North Station!

The litttle fridge in my room (mainly for milk) has been failing recently, causing milk to spoil.

I looked on a well-known site for a replacement and was mindful of the sizing. My existing fridge is just 4 litres, I was upgrading to either 10L or 15L

The product filter offers sizing in cubic feet!

Well ..... I don't buy new music very often, and definitely not albums that have only been out a few days ...

But, on a recommendation I bought The Chameleons - Arctic Moon without listening to any of the tracks first.

I like! It takes me back over 40 years, but hey!

Did Ebay get something right for a change? Email received a few mins ago.

Out of the stylist's chair (thanks Tammy) yesterday lunchtime and she took my pic. I was previously a blonde (see above), this will lighten over the next month or so.

Size 12 (US 8) and nearly 60 ... and it was a great day.

Back on trains again, this time I'm heading to my last home town for a hair appointment with a very long standing stylist.

From the salon I have to visit the radio studio, followed by a late lunch and a few pints in previous haunts. Shanty is only 5 weeks away so that is bound to be a topic!

The Oakham Citra was just superb. I really should go to Untappd to score it!

I had 3 pints ... just to be sure, of course.

The rest of the ales weren't too shabby either ... not a single National Bland (sic)

It was a wonderful surprise to see @oakhamales.bsky.social Citra in the Victoria Inn, Colchester yesterday ... shame they didn't have a pump clip!

Oh, it was on top form!

On a train again ... making the most of my railcard and the good weather.

Colchester bound today.

Today I was supporting Raynet and the local airshow ... providing comms to unite all the various agencies involved in the event. I've been involved, on & off, for 40 years after getting my ham licence in 1985.

I'm back in the radio studio today, as studio engineer, making certain that we're sounding good. Neon Nancy is the duty DJ until midday.

It seems that I know where all the independent coffee shops are on today's commute. Cheaper and better than the nationals!
