An early dinner for me, appetite not good but food still required. Skipped lunch so I would fancy what I'm making:

As far as I can tell, the budget does not affect me in any way. The EHRC, however, could completely screw my life.

🚨WOW! The Petition calling for a public inquiry into Russian influence on UK politics & democracy has now rocketed past 47,000 signatures! Let’s get it to 50,000 tonight. If a petition is what it’s going to take let’s get this done!

Updating a radio station schedule over a flaky virtual desktop connection isn't fun, especially when tired (almost midnight). Managed it despite the connection freezing randomly.

Tomorrow, if the network issue persists I'll try to diagnose it, but until then .... sleep

Debating food options. The two final options tonight are:
Jacket potato with tuna mayo & side salad. Home made.
&
Fried chicken, ribs and chips from the place along the street.

My 10" Android tablet' screen died yesterday. It was Android 6 so I have had it a while, plus a tad slow ... so replacement instead of repair (I did examine the repair option).

That arrives tomorrow so then I have the fun of signing in and setting up applications.

How are the legal challenges to CASS going? I've not heard anything for a month or two?

I'm including a wedding scene in my next book (it's Tammy & Maisie and it's not a secret) so I did some research. I just had to rewrite the whole preamble scene due to the same sex marriage laws in the UK ... England is bad, Scotland is worse! I included this bigotry in the story.

I'm trying to get some work done but there's a guy on the flat roof outside my window with a blow torch. For some strange reason I can't get comfortable.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

What do you get from the state on yur 60th? I guess I'll find out soon enough as that happens in under a fortnight ... but as I'm in SE England (not London) I doubt if I get a single thing, not even an NHS flu jab!

I really should work on the cover art for the dead tree release of my latest book, although 99.9% of my readers don't buy that format. Supply is print-on-demand so there's no stock as such.

With one exception, all of my self-penned books are in one of two (interconnected) series. Sales tail off as the series get longer, that's unavoidable. Is the 16th in a series (currently being written) too many when there's still a story to be told?

Own up, who still has a ludicrously simple password? And worst still, who uses the same weak password everywhere?

Zoomers are officially worse at passwords than 80-year-olds

Two weeks left before this kid of the 60s enters her 60s.

There's plans in place for the actual day but no party! I don't care for parties!

[My 50th consisted of a meal in a restaurant for 4 plus a beer festival (that I had co-organised)]

I wonder if we are now getting a bump in the number of unintentional Animal Farm* references by elected representatives as the lives of minorities are dragged through media and legal mire?

*If you have no idea what I'm referring to, please do a simple search (or take you minds back to GCE/GCSE Eng)
