But they do reduce the risk of getting infected and greatly reduce severe illness risk.
They are still worth getting.
Since they are not 100% effective it’s also wise to add another layer of protection by wearing a mask.

How sad! I have seen so many healthy women in the prime of their lives severely impacted by long Covid.
From being a professional athlete to being in a wheelchair, from being a fun mom to an ill parent who spends their day in their bed in the dark with ice on their head and belly.

Brazilian singer Eva Rodrigues Praia Walkey, 40, has died after nearly 5 years battling severe Long COVID. She faced repeated hospitalisations, grueling treatment, and never regained her health. Her family confirmed she passed away on 18 November in Manaus, Brazil.

It could be anyone of us next. These cases are dramatic, but like every other illness, there are much milder ones.

Best thing that could come from this is to better educate doctors, so they understand what Long COVID is possibly how to diagnose/treat features of the disorder (no clear diagnostic/treatment yet).
They need to trust people & actually try to help.
