I was at one of my doctors, getting a follow-up scheduled, and the receptionist started complimenting my glasses, my piercings, and "how well I pull off my entire outfit". I was dressed femme and had been self-conscious about it.
This has never happened before. It was... Really nice.

I'm really grateful that I'm trans, if only because it taught me that nearly every aspect of who I am can be changed.
People mostly talk about the physical aspects of transition, but I feel like I'm constantly remaking myself—my personality or otherwise—into the type of person I want to be.
