my MIL does this, and after almost 30 years of me finding it quirky, I'm starting to see the appeal.

When I went out to the patio this morning it smelled almost like faint gas or paint fumes. I checked to make sure a paint can wasn't knocked over or something. But then an hour later C's girlfriend texted me that the air smelled weird....in a city about 45 min from us. odd!

Signal is an encrypted messaging app that is likely more safe to use for communications than texting & social media. good luck out there.
