Two years in and after growing back from the roots after a freeze, this is the first blooming bract from my bougainvillea. Poor lil guy can barely see the sun thanks to the oaks, but I love how it stretches hopefully toward light.

My first post here might as well be about the little tyrant holding us hostage this summer. We've had three dog-skunking incidents this summer - three!. We finally got a good look at the culprit and dangit he's cute.
