Watching the new season of Hope Street and Clint got scammed out of a massive amount of money and he finally told his wife, and said, I thought this only happened to elderly or stupid people, and, oh, Clint, you are a former musician who works at the pub your wife inherited. You aren't old, BUT

Ordered pies for Tday, did my meds for this week and for my travel case for next week, packaged my big cook from a few days ago into freezer bags and put them in the freezer, now I am too tired to eat dinner

I have the cheap Netflix with ads and just got an ad for what appears to be a new Avatar movie?? (to be honest, they could just keep recycling the old one, no one could tell). This is the worst day ever.

Do people actually go around the table and say what they are thankful for at Thanksgiving like on tv? I have never actually encountered that and it would be so awkward. It's bad enough when folks say grace.

I assume that is where they hid all the murdered corpses. Country ways, DCI Barnaby, country ways
An enormous wall of trash about 500 feet in length and up to four stories tall was recently discovered near a highway in the English countryside, leading to a national outcry across Britain.
A Colossal, Hidden Pile of Trash Ignites Outcry in Britain
The discovery of a mountain of garbage near a highway is the latest example of what experts say is a growing problem of criminal organizations profiting from illegal dumping.

My new neighbors must be keeping their apartment SO TOASTY at night because daytimes are fine but my place (in between them, in the middle between the boiler and their place) (utilities are included in our rent) gets so insanely hot every night, like it was 73-4 all day, and now it is suddenly 77

Interesting, whenever randos on r/BritishTV talk about good comedies they mention Friday Night Dinners, which was not available here. Opened Britbox just now and they added the first two season (of 6) we shall see if it lives up to the hype

One of the upsides of it nearly being dark by the time I run errands is I got to see everyone's Xmas decorations lit/deployed, and one of the local restauarants has at least four HUGE inflatables (apparently they are available in nearly 15foot sizes now)

Good side to the sun setting at 4:30pm: I do not have to do my errands with the afternoon sun glaring in my eyes

Down side: FUCKING DEER AT DUSK darting out into the road, begging to die

lol I do understand some people need to write fiction to work out their demons, but there was one in r/relationships tonight where supposedly he only heard secondhand about a fight his wife had but it was so detailed he specified which finger she waved and, no buddy, say less

lol the new MSNOW (nee MSNBC) ad has Rachel Maddow reading the preamble to the constitution and I defy all Gen Xers and probably most Millennials from starting to sing it about halfway through (do ORDAIN and eeeestaaabliiish this constitution....)

Love the new phone ad with Luke Wilson in the middle of desert saying, "When you grow up out here" buddy, you grew up rich in Dallas, sit down

There's this ad with this old woman, lives on a ranch and is very Pioneer Woman telling people to buy gold (from a specific company) going on and on about how with this economy and debt and president you need gold (you KNOW she means Biden) and I just always yell at the screen HOW DO YOU HAVE MONEY

I got a delivery from Amazon and the photo the delivery driver put up shows it in front of my door, on my mat. I am the only one of the units with a green door. However, when I went out to get it, it was in front of my neighbor's white door, in her mat, wtf

I just want to be loved as much as Stephen Schwartz loves making characters in his musicals hold the sound "eeeeee" in songs for a really long time

This overpriced olive oil keeps saying in ads that it is "Michelin quality" and all I can think is, "Oh, it tastes like tires?"

So I uh accidentally discovered the existence of "Stumble" on NBC/Peacock, which is a cheer mockumentary starring Kristen Chenoweth and Taran Killam and.... wtf

lol renewing my registration online is super easy (especially since most of the numbers autofill now) except I always forget I need my odometer reading so every single year involves a frantic dash to my car

My automated lid garbage can is mostly back to normal, though I still have to slam it shut occasionally, except at random times the lid just... goes up. When I am nowhere near it. I know the company is Simply Human but I really do not want a sentient garbage can

Hope Street, the Irish cop/soap show, cracks me up because they love to introduce characters and events with very little explanation, then eventually trickle truth the exposition through gossip. Very Irish.

I do enjoy the S2 episode of Here We Go where Paul pretends to be really into soccer and just keeps saying, "It's coming home!"
