Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.

Raskin: If this were to pass, this astounding provision would give eight Republican senators a personal payday of at least a million dollars each, paid for by the U.S. Taxpayers at a time when we are throwing millions of people off of their health care…

feel like not nearly enough people are talking about this — apparently the democratic “yes” votes have effectively agreed to having the u.s. government write 6 republican senators $500k checks?
Look at this new outrage. To open govt, we're retroactively letting 8 Senators sue for $500K each over having had their J6 phone toll records looked at. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/u...

SNAP has existed for 60 years. Benefits have gone out every single month over those six decades, including during government shutdowns. Until now.

Make no mistake: The money is available to fund SNAP during this shutdown. Trump is making a choice to withhold it.

Don’t forget this.
