Starting a new read by an author from the Philippines.

-This book has been through a lot on its way to me in Norway. Namely: Got a bit water damaged due to torrential rain in the Phils. But hey, with that title I suppose it was really asking for it.

Bookmail pt. 3 of 3:
Jeg kommer og tar deg (“I’m coming to get you”) by Sigmund Doksum, 1990. This is one of 2 Norwegian horror books that have become grail-esque in my hunt for them. Apparently so obscure no one’s listed it on GR yet (Graham will be tasked with that)

Stray Cats by Irene Sarmiento is a Filipino novel that makes some fairly hefty issues like class divide, trafficking & abuse accessible to younger readers without talking down to them. Quite amazing in what it does. Also: talking cat
