And yet Paul Greenwood seemed content to suggest this was just media misrepresentation on #bbcr4 #r4today just now.

Yeah, Paul Greenwood is playing the part of a stereotypical bad guy. Came across like a pantomime villain but minus the humour.

As a Registered Social Worker, the ECHR and 1998 HRA are the cornerstone of my profession - every other piece of UK legislation works relative to these. Anyone suggesting they be abandoned or watered down clearly doesn’t understand the practical implications. Literally so many decisions affected.

Next step: Bar them from standing as Mayoral candidates.

Finally!
November 13, 2025 at 12:01 PM
I dare say we will both find out more detail amongst the 20,000 documents that have just dropped. Who knows, maybe Trump himself will be able to point to evidence he raised his concerns about Epstein and Maxwell *externally* and to appropriate authorities.
Appreciate your civility btw.

I’m not the one you need to ask!
November 12, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Again, Trump doesn’t need to have been directly responsible for the abuse to be culpable. Information has been published that points to the possibility he might have been in a position to report the abuse. All I’m asking is for clarity on whether he either did that or sought to. Simple really.
November 12, 2025 at 5:31 PM
I’m not accusing him of anything - I’m posing some questions on the basis of information that has come to light today. Believe it or not, we probably have something in common - that justice be done, and done properly!
November 12, 2025 at 5:22 PM
The point is, Trump didn’t have to be directly involved in the abuse to have had an opportunity to stop it entirely - and not just stop it affecting Mar-a-Lago.
November 12, 2025 at 5:21 PM
I think there’s a realistic possibility - and likely a probability - that Trump knew or had credible suspicions about what Epstein and Maxwell were up to. I’d want that to be robustly explored, not shouted down.
November 12, 2025 at 5:19 PM
Where are you getting that victim testimony from? It’s not in the emails.
November 12, 2025 at 5:17 PM
Oh please, stop and entertain the plausible possibility that Trump knew what was up. I’m not saying he did, I’m just asking that question. What then? Would you be as desperate to defend him as you appear right now?
November 12, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Failure to report a suspected crime would reflect very badly on him though, right?

Maxwell procuring girls for Epstein to offer out.
November 12, 2025 at 5:07 PM
That Maxwell was recruiting/procuring girls for Epstein, with the entirely plausible situation that Trump knew what Epstein did with the girls. Trump spending hours with one of those Epstein trafficked girls strong suggests he knew what was up.
November 12, 2025 at 5:06 PM
But did he go to the authorities - the implication is that he suspected criminality, said ‘not here thanks’ and just turned the other cheek…!
November 12, 2025 at 4:40 PM
So Trump “knew about the girls” and his response was simply to ask Maxwell to stop?! Was Trump’s only consideration the impact on Mar-a-Lago/his business? Is there any record or suggestion that he took his suspicions to the appropriate authorities - as any decent person should?
November 12, 2025 at 4:33 PM
JRM would love that because it achieves exactly what he and other Tories have been trying to do! Let it go to court - yes the BBC may have made the mistake, but Trump’s character *and actions* form part of the evidence. He’s irrefutably done the things the BBC edit portrayed.
November 12, 2025 at 7:00 AM
Which is why it’s critical that the BBC doesn’t just fold. I made this point to my MP last night. Every licence payer should do likewise in my opinion.
