This might be the best photograph I’ve seen this year.

Weird change happened to my Bluesky feed a few weeks ago and became more pronounced over time: My suggested posts include Russian-language posts(!) I don’t speak Russian and never opted to view such posts. I suspect it is because my iPhone system settings incl. a Russian keyboard. Now switched off.

Latest #StrongMessageHere with @aiannucci.bsky.social and Stewart Lee is pure gold. A chance to reexamine the validity of the statement; “Schools, advice, recipes, and hate site, Mumsnet.” #BBCR4

The late #CliveJames is responsible for this particularly fine quote about #AlanYentob - taken from The Blaze of Obscurity, circa 2009 (I think)… #BBC #Yentob

While I’m sure this isn’t the first use of the term “at scale”, this article quotes Matt Hancock using it in April 2020: www.politicshome.com/news/article...

Runcorn result indicates the same sentiment. Labour’s lost support was Reform’s win.

In fairness, Labour ultimately helped Reform win Runcorn. Labour drove support away through alienating it’s traditional base:

Think of a ‘typical’ Labour voter. Now think of a ‘typical’ Reform voter. It’s clear, Labour lost voters to Reform. I’m going to hypothesise that the commonality between these two groups is their socioeconomic class. Labour should be looking long and hard in the mirror today.

Yes, jarred. ‘Alleged’ clearly isn’t appropriate when court judges have *already* ruled that actions such as this were not in line with due process:

UK Gov has drawn up a 400 page list of items that are potential targets for counter-tariffs. I’m not sure it’s a very serious list tbh. Look at these examples: ‘Sawdust’ & ‘Opium’ - I doubt we’re importing much of either. 🤦🏻‍♂️ #TradeWar #Tarrifs #Trump

It’s not just #Tesla. #Fender, the world’s best-known #guitar manufacturer has taken a hit, despite efforts to divest their production to other countries as a potential tariff mitigation. #Trump is trashing the US economy and jeopardising iconic, flagship brands. ratings.moodys.com/ratings-news...

When did Obama use the South Lawn to read an actual sales pitch to the waiting media? These are Trump’s notes BTW. By all means defend it, but don’t expect anyone else to buy your cognitively distorted take on it. The world sees the USA very differently now & generally speaking, it isn’t positive.

Our own PM sat next to him when he said this and didn’t even question it. If Starmer can’t manage to challenge Trump, why would you expect a US journalist in the Whitehouse press pool to do any different?
