So far, one of my study's participants has rejected the theory that the drive to season the bacon is due to a psychological relationship with pork, but rather an innate drive to season all meats even if the meats have been cured. Cured pork, however, still bypasses this due to exceptional taste.

I believe self-care and body maintenance are resistance. My personal praxis requires both mental and physical agility. I also think this weird wave of "train to beat up fascists" is looping its way around to eugenics in a way that makes me nervous... especially considering who it's so popular with.

There are too many systems impacting our individual experiences for us to spend so much time criticizing one another. I will never have stronger opinions about people's behavior than I have about the systems that cause and facilitate that behavior.

I'm at a church I haven't been to since I was 17, supporting a friend I made when I was 19 as she lays her mom to rest. I never miss own mother more than when I'm in Black churches in DC & MD. Unlike many, I have nothing but fond memories of the Black elders in these sacred incubators of Black art.
