读过我以前文章的一些人可能会觉得我的这番话有些出乎意料，但我的确是诚心诚意地说的。川普战胜哈里斯的胜利像一扇窗口，展示了美国的灵魂，如果选举结果不同，这一窗口可能会一直被隐藏。
从某种意义上说，川普毫无保留地向我们揭示了自己是谁。他的竞选活动以及人们对他的反应帮助我们明确了许多当前美国人真正重视的东西，以及过去几代人看待问题的方式。
说实话，我们应该感谢他，因为他让我们清楚地看到，对大多数美国人来说，什么才是重要的，什么不是。
