I'm done with the marches and protests that accomplish nothing, and I don't feel like the groups who are planning to do real things will be at such events. But I'm struggling to find people irl who are serious about meaningful direct action.

The trump admin saying out loud that they may suspend habeas corpus, while arresting elected officials and claiming they have video of "members of Congress bodyslamming ICE agents" is an insane escalation of the authoritarianism and why aren't we all freaking out?

One of my old high school friends is basically calling me a piece of s**t coward for not doing anything to fight back against this political situation I hate so much and she's not wrong but the thing is I don't know what to do and no one can tell me.

I haven't filed my taxes because I owe federal for the first time in my life and the thought of giving this administration more of my money while they're burning it all to the ground makes me nauseous.

The Senate thinks its voting to avoid a government shutdown. The shutdown is already happening, and it is permanent.
Per a source with knowledge, external access to NIH's Enterprise Directory, which includes names and work contact info for NIH staff and contractors, may be shut off by tomorrow night. It is working as of now.
