So probably the least-plausible thing about that S2 “Last of Us” finale was the Haunted House-style thunderstorms going on in the climactic scenes. I heard maybe… 2 thunderclaps *total* in my nearly 18 years living in Seattle.

3-hour oil sketch. For this one I dug out some Cadmiums, which I haven’t used in years. I have a whole series of neon paintings I want to do, but I’m not yet satisfied with the look of the first few attempts. This doesn’t quite get what I wanted, but I’m intrigued enough to experiment in this vein.

A 2.5-hour timed study I did on Friday. I think I’ll spend some more time developing this idea into a proper painting.

Just finished #Shrinking in time for the new year. Holy shit, Harrison just about killed me in that last episode (everyone else was great, too - but seeing the Icon of my Youth absolutely crushing this role in his 80’s has been my biggest surprise in entertainment this year).

The 39th time we've had to post this, and this time about The Onion's original hometown.
Doing the 20 movies thing because I believe that until now in my lifetime, cinema is the most dominant art form. It’s because it has the ability to combine all other forms - dance, music, craft, theater, picture making. Movies are a huge influence on the music I made, and the pictures I am making.
