Talk to Me is superb.

Causeway Films consistently puts out great stuff. I would love to get a horror screenplay to them some day. They really put in the effort with script, acting, cinematography and just overall quality and look of their films (especially the horror sphere).

Visit a Christmas store and come away with headband antlers and delightfully hideous, oversized Christmas sweaters.

He'd get Holmsey if it was name related, or it would reference his job: something like Snoopy or Cluedo.

Still cannot watch this part.

Oh wow. I thought that the words were something the internet had added and the joke was the "decoration" above the window. Apparently not... 😬

Fabulous! Glad you are back.

The last one with Chuck Tingle was excellent.

The Dems AND the Mafia. That's where you get a horse's head in your bed, but it's made of tofu.

It has some nods to strong themes that I wish had been built upon and made more cohesive.

The financial themes and idea of having to pay off a house you can't live in is really relevant to today (e.g. natural disaster houses) as is the impact of financial distress in family violence.

Personally, I bounced off this film a bit, probably because I have seen a lot of the horror techniques it utilises built upon better in more recent films (e.g. Hill House). That's not the film's fault: more a case of me having seen a lot of modern movies and also improvements in technology.

That is wonderful. Thanks for sharing. The look and layout of the house is definitely one of the film's strongest features. Instantly iconic.

Our houses don't tend to have basements and attics like US movie houses, so the options are a bit more limited for scares.

It's absolutely superb. Just the horror of a ship stranded in ice, let alone all the other terrors that go down.

It's on order at the library so should be available soon. I saw it at the cinema but want to see it again. It coming to the library means it's coming out on dvd

Bodies Bodies Bodies if you are wanting lighter horror (very good film).

Weapons if you have HBO (darker though) and want something recent.

The Ritual (Netflix - my favourite wilderness folk horror)
