From my talks with unis about GenAI, main concerns are data security and accuracy of responses. Worth considering open-model GenAI - free to use, can run locally, now as powerful as GPT-4, no data sent outside, can be customised. Thinking of humanities examples for new OpenAI model that can do complex reasoning. Tried asking it to reason about alternative histories. First plot a history of the UK if it had remained in the EU. Then consider impact of social media on that history. An engaging way to teach contingent histories.
