the anxiety im getting from the political climate is genuinely killing me. its soul crushing seeing that this jingoistic country with no moral fiber is making 2000-2008 look like a fun time, and the japanese internment camps as just mere detention compared to CECOT, i dont know what to do about it

Something I think about a lot when I think about history is Turkish Air 981, which crashed outside Paris in the 70s, killing 340 people. Why’d it crash? A badly designed cargo door latch combined with an immigrant airport luggage worker who couldn’t read the notice saying how to latch the door.
