There is an academic job market / labor mobility if you're a tenured prof at an Ivy. The rest of us will have to suffer the end of the American university system as we know it.

Today, the AAUP–AFT is filing the lawsuits Columbia administrators were afraid to: one against Trump’s illegal funding cuts, the other his arrests of political opponents.
AAUP is also showing why faculty need to collectively organize to defend higher ed.

It feels like there’s nowhere to really say this online anymore, but I’m asking students to write a kinda difficult thing in my comp classes, and I looked at several drafts today that were a) incredibly thoughtful and ambitious, and b) almost certainly the products of students’ own writing to learn.
