The wheels on the house go open and shut...my dreams are getting weird.

Four exams this week. So overwhelmed I don't know what to study.

Sick with COVID from Christmas to New Year's. Sick with Norovirus this past week. I am exhausted and I am sick of being sick.

RECOMMENDATIONS REQUEST!

I need side dishes for picky children for a holiday dinner. One will eat mac and cheese, one will eat anything without meat or broccoli, and one eats by no logic known to man. Send help please!

Introducing my kid to Rankin Bass. These movies are a lot stranger than I remember.

I'm so tired.

The need to "get things done" weighs on me, making me more tired.

So I don't do anything, to relax and recover.

Which just leads to more fatigue as things aren't getting done.

After two weeks of tree vs toddler, tree has lost most of the ornaments that tiny hands can reach, and there's a huge hole near the base where little dude fell through when he stumbled over the barrier.

Starting my day, week, and month with a friendly rejection. It may sound odd, but I don't mind rejections. I've submitted plenty of stories that never got a response at all. Those tales in the ether bother me way more.

Send good vibes. I have 3 exams and a paper to finish in the next 48 hours. I want this semester over but I'm all out of motivation.

I started Outlander (TV) after hearing whispers of its greatness over the years. Getting strong Poldark vibes so far.

Winding down the semester with a rewatch of LOTR between studying. I realize how much I love high fantasy and how little I know of the genre. There's so much out there! If anyone has suggestions for books, movies, or shows, drop them here. I love WoT, the Witcher TV series, and ASOIAF.

My toddler has great taste in classic literature. Good build up of tension and a wonderful twist ending! Truly a masterpiece!

I want to read this!
Excited to announce we've signed Ivy Grimes' debut novel "Ruby, Opal, and Phew" for our Debut Novel Series. Scheduled for release in March 2025, Ivy has written a fantastic, supernatural Southern Gothic story.

Finished edits on new story.

Apparently, the best motivation for writing is procrastinating other projects.

I need to finish some school work, but I don't want to.

I should probably fold the laundry too.

I think my toddler might want to play.

Damn it, Dan Da Dan. I was not expecting the total 180 in tone. That was heartbreaking. :(

Yeah...my WIP folder is WAY bigger than my completed folder. I have more ideas than patience. I need to finish the ones I started before starting something new. Or get a writing partner.
The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie.

An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough.

So finish the thing.

The reason I'm so positive about aspiring writers is that I believe that:

* Anyone who can string a sentence together can write a story, script or book.

* Anyone who puts enough time, effort, and workshopping into it can write a GOOD story, script, or book.

* Anything finished can be fixed.
