Legacy The Ten Tragic Days is the formal designation of a specific set of events in the historiography of Mexico, indicating its importance in the Mexican Revolution and the shaping of historical memory. Madero's assassination during the 10-day coup immediately turned him into a martyr. "Madero the martyr meant more to the soul of Mexico than Madero the apostle [of democracy].[36] Huerta was recognized by most Mexican state governors, but Venustiano Carranza, governor of Coahuila refused and rose in rebellion against Huerta, bringing together a northern coalition to overthrow the regime brought to power by usurpation. The coup in Mexico City touched off uprisings that coalesced into the Constitutionalist Army, the ultimate winner in the Mexican Revolution. The Ten Tragic Days was the last successful coup to overthrow a Mexican president.

Dungeon Meshi’s badger-eared, round-faced gnomes have stuck in my head long enough that whenever I see modern D&D’s gnomes I get whiplash. They just look… /off/ to me, even though they both have big hands and feet

I have met this 8-10 week old wise guy just once and I now am already hopelessly devoted to him. Which is good, since he’ll be living with me soon. (thank you to my friend for holding him for the pic!)

I think that my graphic design skills peaked ~10 years ago when I made a stylized ideogram of a bestial undead giant holding his own head for a Tabletop RPG I'll never finish. And maybe that's OK.

Cooking report: holy shit making the most decadent coney dog possible really does pay off.
Two coney sausage dogs on a white plate on a red placemat with a red wine on one side and a glass of water on the other. The “Coney” is a beer-broiled bratwurst that was then boiled for 10 minutes and then pan seared in an accidental onion and butter fond. On top of it is a slather of my sister’s secret chili recipe, cooked white onions, and spicy brown mustard. Mustard was added to the second one after the fact, along with jalapeño based hot sauce which made it 100% perfect.
