Do Nepenthes pitcher plants drug ants to make them more likely to fall in the pitcher? Interesting stuff. 🧪

‘Toxic bait’ from Indian pitcher plants lures hungry insects to their doom
Nectar produced on and around the traps is laced with a neurotoxin that may drug ants in addition to drawing them in

I run a free table for my locals in Spokane every spring and give away- starts, pots, books, seeds, containers, dirt. people bring things and take things as they need to.
I try to include food plants that can be grown without a garden.

More plants and close ups of some of my faves (my Pink Princess Philodendrons).
I'm also an absolute sucker for verigated pothos (marble/snow queens).
Give me bright speckled babies!

These kids are all over the place because some are in quarantine still 💖

I'm getting into a new hobby lately: house plants.
Nurturing these little friends and watching them grow gives me joy and I think it's going to help sustain me in the coming years.

Me love plant babbies💖
