Those who are wailing about this reminder to our military about not following unlawful orders are also laboring under the misguided notion that the military swears allegiance to a president. They don't. They pledge an allegiance to the United States Constitution.

(In other words, the studies in question? They weren't ignored, they were *debunked*)

MAHA CDC's lie about ignored studies? That's not "cautious" that's "we're going to put out propaganda using junk science to rehabilitate Andrew Wakefield"

At the point at which you're defending research misconduct / human subjects violations like this, I don't know what to say.
This is how I interpret it. Decades of research still show no link between vaccines and autism. CDC’s new wording is cautious, not a shift in science. We need transparency, strong evidence, and clear communication—while countering misinformation that harms public trust.

Weird how conservatives didn't mention all those years that they think it's fine to fire people for their beliefs! What an unfortunate misunderstanding we've had around this. Oh well!

HUGE lesson here for the response of legal system if (when) Dems regain power — there cannot again be a reluctance to pursue consequences for unlawful conduct out of concerns for comity or appearing too partisan

Not saying this is everything but authoritarian populist movements don’t usually work when you frontload them with moist little psychos
