I find it hilarious when the Economist covers football, and they use the style guide to call everyone, eg, "Mr. Haaland".

This is me for the Relativistic Quantum Field Theory course I had as an undergraduate. I think it worked out for me because I was in my last year and they gave me a gentleman's D (pass).

It's like touching hot metal vs an equally cold amount of water. The water will cool you much more than the metal. The metal is more like space.

Having followed politics from when I was a student, to now many years later, when I have entered the world of work, I definitely feel this. I have very strong opinions about things I have experienced, but realised that, on things I haven't, that I really have no idea about them.

Presumably it's precisely because they know nothing about Argentina that they do this. The less you know about a place, the more you can paint whatever fantasies you want onto it. (Like teenagers fantasising over someone they've never spoken to).

Also, most people remember being bullied at school, or witnessing bullies in action and feel bad about being a bystander.

I suspect Farage being outed as a bully is hurting him because most of us loathe bullies on a visceral level.

I've always felt Irish opinion online could be a bit holier-than-thou, but I hope many other countries follow your lead here.
