A sign saying "do not hump." It's from a railroad snowplow car, because humping it (pushing it over a hill and letting it roll through a switch to be placed on the right track) would be dangerous because it has a giant fan on the front to blow snow off the track.

@thoafood.bsky.social I just got to the end of season 3, and since you mentioned Lowell, here are some photos I took back in May 2023 of the example meal cards from the boarding house exhibit (the breakfast one is poorly focused, unfortunately).
Breakfast at a mill boarding house - fried cod, fried hash, fried potato balls, pumpkin mush, bread and butter, apple pie, coffee, and milk. Dinner (the midday meal) at a mill boarding house. Pease soup with croutons, pickles, bread, bread pudding, coffee, water, and corned beef boiled with potatoes, carrots, turnips, and parsnips, with horseradish sauce. Supper at a mill boarding house. Baked beans with pork, rye-and-corn bread with cheese, fried potatoes, flapjacks with apple sauce, Indian pudding, plum cake, tea, and water.

The word's earliest known appearance is in Randle Cotgrave's A Dictionarie of the French and English Tongues, published in 1611.
A definition from a 1611 dictionary: "refrigerateur: a refrigerator, refresher, cooler." The word is noted as being masculine in French, and it uses the "s" that looks like an "f" to modern eyes in "refresher" so that it looks like it's "refrefher." It's not quite as funny as Maffachufetts, but slightly amufing.

Port Canaveral isn't too complex, but it has very strong "don't make a wrong turn" vibes.

We even have some decent roof beams in Virginia, although I believe there is some residual saltiness about our acquisition of the house.
The interior of a farmhouse built in the 1630s by the Smith (Smyth/Smythe) family of Hartlebury, England. It was dismantled in 1970 and moved to Virginia.
